Is loosing 1.1 kg in 2 weeks to much

I lost 1.1 kg in 2 weeks is that to much and what should I aim to lose

    It depends. If you are tall and extremely obese, 1.1 kg (~2.3 lbs) in even 1 week is fine. If you are short and very light, losing 1.1 kg in 2 weeks might be too much. For men who are average height and slightly overweight, 1.1 kg in 2 weeks is probably fine.

    If it's your first week, then losing 1.1kg is fine as it's probably water weight. 1.1kg = 2.3lbs and 2lbs a week is the max recommended loss, so you're not too far off the maximum even if it's your second or third week.

    If you continue losing at that rate after the first few weeks though you should probably reevaluate your calorie goal, as even if you're considerably overweight/obese you do risk losing muscle as well as fat. (any weight you lose will include fat and muscle, that's unavoidable, however at 2lbs+ a week you risk losing more than usual/too much).

    If you dont have much to lose however, 2lbs may be too aggressive, without knowing more information it's hard to say....

    That's about a pound per week. It depends on your numbers (height, weight, activity level) but that's generally a reasonable amount.

    Well the OP did say it was 1.1 kg over 2 weeks, not one.

    It's normal to drop initial water weight.

    I have been dieting some time
    My height is 5 ft 11 weight 91 kg over weight
    Lift weights and box and run 3-4 days week
    I don't want to lose muscle mass

    Some weeks I lose 0 kgs and other 1.6kgs. Each week is different

    Sorry! Just realised I've read this wrong, doh! so my previous reply is now moot haha. Guess I need to pay more attention in future

    Some people would be on here complaining that they lost "only" 1.1kg in two weeks. :)
