Figuring out 5k pace.

If I can run 4 miles at a pace of 10:15/mile, exerting moderate effort, what would a good 5k goal pace be? I am guessing about 9:30, but I'm not too sure. Thanks!

That seems like a reasonable goal. You'll always go a bit faster on race day and if you're going for a time, you'll run a 5k at a faster pace than your moderate speed runs.0

I think anything less than 30 mins for 5 k is brill.0

40 mins for a 4 mile is 31:30 mins for a 5k according to mcmillan at 10:09 pace.
