Is it realistic?

Is it realistic for me to want a stomach that's flat even when I don't suck in? If you look at my pics you'll see what I look at without sucking in. If I do tighten my stomach then it will go flat, even at the 210 lbs I was at!

I got down to 180lbs and still had to suck in if I wanted to look like I had a flat stomach.

So, just curious, thanks!

I think so; Its just that you store what fat you have in that area first and foremost.

    I'm hoping I have a flat stomach at some point - I'm getting there...Ha.

Everyone can achieve a flat stomach or even a six pack. It will just take time. A key to getting abs is having enough muscle to protrude through your skin.. No muscle = no definition. This is why you want to minimize muscle loss and maximize fat loss.

Work out and keep cutting fat. At some point might want to reduce the hair volume also, if you're interested in seeing abs.

    For sure realistic!!

The pictures on your profile show bad posture, so correcting that will make your belly stick out less immediately.

Lift, work out.. you'll get there!

Anyone can. I have seen 400 pound people go to a completely flat stomach, just work hard! :D

Thanks folks! Yeah, my posture is pretty lacking. Been a sloucher my whole life, and I work on computers all day so that doesn't help. Not really sure how to fix that. :-/

I'm not shaving my stomach either! I am just too d__n hairy to start down the whole shaving path. It'd have to become a part time job, lol.

Thanks again, I think the wife and I are going to start on Insanity before too long here, and that has a lot of core work that should help.

Try some yoga, and just try to practice straightening your back and pulling your shoulders back!

Be prepared. Insanity is HARD as hell. It's a total body system that is HEAVY in cardio. It's the roughest training I've ever done but I gotta say it's alot of fun if you like pushing yourself to do just one more push up, one more jump.

    I love it and P90X.
