Hello folks

I have have been gearing myself up towards a 100 mile walking challenge, that is walking 100 miles in one go without sleep.

I have started a long distance blog - showing some of my achievements so far

My Walkie Talkie blog - long distance walks

I did a fifty mile challenge event walk on Saturday in 14.5 hours, and that qualifies me to enter the Dorset 100 in May 2016. I will find out in a few weeks if my application was successful.

Meanwhile - I would dearly love to hear any comments on the blog or Google + 's or any comment here to help encourage me to get fit enough and psychologically strong enough to attempt the 100 mile event.

I will probably nominate a charity too once I get confirmation of entry status.

Thanks for reading, bless you all

Richard

Make sure you've got at least 2 different pairs of shoes available.

Make sure you're comfortable in both pair ahead of time.

I'm a long distance cyclist who has done a lot of really long distance, through the night, cycling events. But I haven't tried walking 100 miles yet. :)
