NSV Pants size surprise!

NSV!!! So I was afraid to weigh in last friday, so thursday night I thought I would go get some new work pants. I have been wearinfg my same pants and they were looking and feeling baggy. When I starting I was a tight 18. I brought a pair of 16's and a pair of 14's to the dressing room. I didnt look at which I tried on first on purpose. They were too big...So I thought these are the 16's...cool!!!! I grabbed the other pair, they were too big...wth? They were the 16's!!! The first pair was the 14's!!!!!! I left there with a 12! A FREAKIN 12!!! I am wearing them today, they feel amazing, I feel amazing....Happy Happy Happy. but wait there is more. So I told myself...self, you dont really wear 12's, it was just this brand, and I was okay with that cause the tag still says 12. Me and my buddy where yard selling Friday and she handed me two pairs of pants to try on....they were both 12s and they both fit!!!!!!! I have no words left, I am just gonna sit here and smile!

That's awesome! It's weird though. We all think that a smaller size will look better on us...but it REALLY is all about the fit. And it seems all manufacturers have different versions of what a "size" should be. I know for myself...I have a few pieces of clothing that once I fit into, then I'll be done losing weight. But everybody is shaped differently and carries weight differently so as long as the clothing looks good, who cares what the number says! Also, I'd love to be a size 8 and FIRM...even if that means I weigh 160 lbs!:bigsmile:

I was looking for a pair of capris in a particular blue color. My daughter-in-law found the right color but the wrong size. They were a size 8. She told me to try them on and my response was "I'm not that small yet." Well, she kept insisting I try them on so relunctantly I did. OMG, they fit everywhere except...the calves! WTH...I've never had that happen. My problem areas were always the waist, hips, and thighs...not my calves!

I didn't buy them but I did leave the store floating
