Calluses - Running

Today I got a pedicure and asked the technician not to touch my nasty calluses because I need them for running. Well, she didn't listen (and I was too busy chatting with a friend that I didn't notice) that she completely shaved down my calluses. The last time this happened, I got blisters with calluses that formed over them - very painful! I am training for a marathon and really don't want to take time off because of blisters. Any ideas out there on how to protect my feet until the regrowth happens?

Thanks!

    Duct tape. Seriously.

I use moleskin myself. As far as the calluses go, I use a pumice stone to control them. I allows me to keep them from getting too thick without losing the protection they provide.

I use PediSpin ( http://www.pedispin.com/ ) and Ped Egg ( https://www.pedegg.com/ ). The Ped Egg is good to manually shave off bad areas. The PediSpin is battery-powered and takes off smaller area. The best part is PediSpin has a buffer to make the area very smooth.
