Where are you getting 2000 calories? If you burned 1660 calories total today according to your Fitband, you should be eating 1410 calories in order to lose half a pound per week. If 1660 was only your partial total for the day and you burned well over 2000 calories at the end of the night, as long as you burned a total of 2250+ at the end of the night and only ate 2000 calories, you would potentially lose half a pound per week or more depending on the deficit each day.0

Really i thought u had to eat around 1200 cals a day just to keep u alive and cals burnt were extra? Is it tdee or bmi thats where confused???0

The calories your fitband gives you would be TDEE. If you want to lose weight you have to eat less than that. Also 1660 seems low for 17,000 steps.0

I'll have to looke it up, but most of these devices try to estimate your TDEE. You eat less than your TDEE to lose weight and at leat 1200 for adequate nutrition.

I did 10,000 steps yesterday and my total calorie burn for the day was 1,723 and i'm much shorter and weigh less than you.0

Okay, looked it up. That is tricky. I bolded the part that makes it different from other activity trackers. We estimate the calories you have burned based on
your weight and level of activity (i.e. you will burn more calories if you are running versus walking). Calories are calculated using four factors: your set weight and gender, the number of steps you take, and the speed of
those steps.
We don’t include a calories estimator, or anything that assumes the calories you burned by simply breathing.
edit: My math is wrong and I'm too tired to come up with the correct way to get this sorted out.
If you are constantly getting around 17k steps, you could probably set your activity level to Active on MFP and just not worry about it.0 -
So the 1660 is the calories burned without BMR? Hmm.
If it were me, and I wanted to eat more on the days I worked out more, I would use an online calculator to figure out my BMR -- let's say it's 1450. Then I'd eat that PLUS about half of the adjustment. So for this example day using my example BMR, I'd eat close to 2300.
This example day still has me eating at an 800 calorie deficit for the day.0 -
I'm glad this was posted I didn't see it and I have been trying to figure out why my Fitbit and MFP don't match. I'm going to read through here and see if it helps me out.0

Thanks for the advice yeh its congusing becouse i cant link it,im gonna just keep moving allog and try to eat leas0

That is confusing! I have to walk 10k steps to earn about 400 extra calories on MFP so even on big 30k step hiking days I never get more than about 1200 extra calories above my base calories. I think it is always a good idea to lowball those numbers when you decide what to eat back if you want to lose weight...0

I have a fitbit flex. I synced it to MFP and the only thing I've learned is to enter any activity information on MFP, not on the fitbit. Everything else is too confusing to me.0

If u r not using fitbit , I suggest u to use runtastic app on phone
Defecit of 600 calories ( runtastic ) each day
U can loose 1 kg weight
Just check daily macros limit0
