I am lacking all motivation but don't know why. I feel gross, body hurts yet I cram junk down my throat. Self sabatoging I guess. I need someone to help hold myself accountable and kick my hiney into gear!

Ultimately, only you can do that. Friends can help and be encouraging but they can't control your actions.

Someone said that it isn't about motivation but determination. Log everything even if you don't feel like logging. It's just like brushing your teeth: you need to do it whether you feel like doing it or not.

    You can do this!

Try podcasts. I listen to them when I walk. Find a podcast that is funny and motivating, ultimately it's really all up to you and you'll only be truly motivated when you're ready or fed up with yourself. Good luck ! You'll find your way

I've lacked motivation for far too long. Now I've made myself sicker than than I was when I actually started being sick. .. if that makes any sense at all. I'm changing that now. I started again 3 days ago. Honest question. ..How sick do you need to be to change? Have you also forgotten how good it feels to look and be healthy? What's your rock bottom? Do you want to go that low (really) because it's more of a challenge and accomplishment when you finally do start pounding out of it?

If the idea of motivation is not working for you, think about forming healthy habits. Nobody feels motivated all of the time--it's just not reality.

There has been some research that shows that takes about 3 weeks to develop a new habit. Force yourself to do it for 21 days and then see what happens after that.

Rewards help too, especially when you are first getting started. For a long time, I would give myself a lovely new nail polish in a bright color whenever I met a small goal. There are lots of ways to celebrate and care for yourself which don't involve food.

I've learned that I feel gross and my body hurts when I DON'T exercise, so...I get my behind up and do it!
