Question about Zumba Wii

I would love some feedback from those of you who have experience with the zumba wii! How do you like it? Any comments? What the heck is the belt for?? (Other than to hang yourself with as one of dear mfp said he was apt to do) ... Can you do it in a relatively small area? Thanks!! Also, feel free to add me!

I detest Zumba Wii. It looked really good so my Dad bought it as a present for me. I just can't get on with it and the graphics aren't great :/

You are meant to put the remote in the holder on the belt on your hips so it can work out what you are doing, except it isn't that good at accurately measuring it and you have to make really exagerated movements for it to pick up on them :/

I play it occassionally but I prefer the actual classes or DVD kit xx

I just bought a cheap Wii Zumba with the belt but I haven't used it yet. The belt is to keep the remote close to your hips so the game can sense your movements.

I've never been a dancer but it was cheap and I figure if I use it a few times for fun it will be wroth it - and anything that gets me moving will be worth it too. We can experiment together!

I gave away my Wii Zumba Fitness 2 game and belt to another MFP friend that wanted to try it. For me, my living room was just too small to do the game without running into furniture and the graphics were pretty lame leaving a lot of the visual instruction up for interpretation (no audio instruction at all). It was fun to try but I wouldn't recommend it over say a video or class.

Edit - the belt holds the Wiimote so that it can read your movements while being worn but you can also put it in a pocket if you have one deep enough or that zips.
