If anyone is interested in a waterproof MP3 for swimming or other watersports I highly recommend the waterproof IPod from Audioflood. I bought one last Christmas (a gift to myself with gift money) and love it. I now have a reason to love it even more. The earphones stopped working this week. I tested them (and the IPod) with another pair and it was definitely the earphones. I emailed the company because they have a 2 year warranty (didn't think it would extend to the earphones but nothing ventured, nothing gained) and they showed me how to release air pressure that can sometimes build up PLUS they are sending me a new pair just in case I can't get these to work! (I got one to work, but not the other).
The IPod is the standard shuffle produced by Apple and Audioflood does the waterproofing. The earphones are on a really short cord, with an extender included, so I can clip it to my swim cap and have nothing dangling or getting in my way as I swim. I can clip it to the strap of my suit if I use the extender. The sound quality is also really good, good enough that I sometimes listen to audiobooks while swimming.
I love companies that have great customer service and this is one of them. Their product is excellent and they back it up. You can buy them on Amazon or Ebay (watch for deals close to Christmas) and the warranty is good no matter where you buy it.
Like I said, I am not receiving any benefit, I just think this is an excellent product (not cheap, $140 for the bundle I got mine at Christmas on sale for $100 ) and the company's customer service is exemplary so I wanted to pass the word on.
