I have lost almost 25 pounds since I started in July! Super excited. My goal was 30 and I would still like to reach it but the last 10 take so long! My daughters birthday is this weekend then holidays. I wanted to be done by now. I am happy with the way I look and feel, so I'm tempted to call it a victory and not be as strict. Still watch what I eat but reintroduce wine and a special treat every once in a while and not be so strict about every moment of my life. What are your thoughts?

I have lost about 46 lbs. Still plan to lose 23 extra lbs. It is so hard though. My weight loss has been stalled for over a month. Then, my weight went up today actually.

It's so hard! Usually when it pops up a little I find within a few days I'll have a loss. It's like the fats last ditch effort of fighting. Hehehe. But terribly demoralizing. Hang in there. One meal at a time

Toss the artificial arbitrary time limits. What do you think is going to happen when you reach your "goal"? You go to maintenance, you keep watching what you eat, you still track, if not continue to log, your intake and monitor your exercise. You no longer eat toward a deficit but for balance. If you have come close to your goal and feel you need a little break, go to maintenance for a while. Try it on for size. See what it takes to maintain a healthier weight. Or, lower your expected weekly weight loss to a half pound or so.

Watching your diet and exercise does not stop at attaining your goal weight. I think that the hard part, maintaining, has just begun. This is life, it only ends when IT ends.

Thank you! I agree this is life now. How do you KNOW you've hit "goal"? If Weight loss is a marathon I wish there was a literal finish line so I just knew I achieved my goal. I'm not at the number on the scale I set for myself but I'm smaller in size than I ever imagined I could be. My inches fell faster than my scale weight. Who cares about a number on the scale-or should I?

Thank you so much for the encouragement and great advice
