Constipation keep weight on?

hi i know its bit grose but ive started a new medication and have been very irregular i feel bloated and am wondering if this can couse weight gain?

Of course it can. The weight gain is temporary, but not using the bathroom can make the number on the scale increase. There have been times I weighed myself before and after peeing just because I was curious how much I was holding and I "lost" 1.2 pounds, so you can imagine what it would be like excreting bowel movements. Anything you consume during the day causes a gain by the end of the night. It's usually gone by the next morning through digestion and using the bathroom.0

It can make the number on the scale stay the same or go up even when you're losing. But it doesn't cause real "gain." It's really no different than if you drank a few cups of water and weighed yourself. It looks like you gained, but sooner or later that water is going to go!0
