Does anyone have suggestions on tracking B12 other than as a food item in the diary section? It would be great to have this added as a tracked nutrient!

Nope, I don't. Be sure to have your yearly physical so it will be checked. If you're low, the doctor will tell you how to supplement.

It's good that you're looking into keeping yourself your healthiest and I wish I could be more help. Maybe someone else will. :)

Thanks! I do take a supplement (http://www.devanutrition.com/vegan-multivitamin-mineral.html) and get checked regularly with my physician, but am curious to see how much I actually receive from my food intake.

In my opinion you would need a much more accurate database than MFP has to track any micronutrients (including the ones that are listed on nutritional labels). I think the USDA "SuperTracker" only tracks sodium. Your best bet would be nutritiondata.self - but it is labor intensive.

Vitamin B12 is present mostly in animal products so likely you are getting very little with your vegan diet (which is why B12 supplementation is recommended for vegans).

Fortified nutritional yeast (like Red Star) is a great source of B12 as well as other nutrients. I drink soy milk fortified with B12 as well, and many commercial breakfast cereals contain it. But the easiest way to be sure is to just take a multivitamin.
