Ok so have a Halloween party this afternoon and I know how much yummy food and treats will be around that I haven't had, I normally allow myself one cheat /treat day a week but still eat in moderation on those days appreciate any words of wisdom or thoughts on how to enjoy my day out without ruining my week in one day and feeling terrible after also sadly I am not one of those people who can enjoy one cupcake or treat without wanting more that is why I avoid sweets to begin with because I know I will end up binging and over do it ....already feeling mentally weak and I havent even made it to the party yet

Eat something healthy before you go. Do not attend the party starving! Look at all the food choices and go veggie heavy. I love dips and party foods, but they certainly can ruin a few days of hard work. Think about how long you will need to run/walk/bike ride to work off those calories in each serving. You don't want to be a party pooper who 'can't eat that', so pick out a few favorites and maybe wait awhile before you begin eating..maybe some of those favorites will be gone by the time you make up your plate. Mingle! Dance! Don't sit next to the food.0

Log every bite you eat. Have the cupcakes and candy but log it. You'll stop a lot sooner if you do that. At least it works for me.0

Eat before you go so you aren't hungry at all. Then you don't have to worry about feeling so hungry that you have to fight not eating everything in sight! if you can leave enough calories in your deficit for one treat, do that, and then find the one thing at the party that appeals the most, and have that.0
