Why, why why?

I am so frustrated. I don't log everything on here so looking at my profile won't help. But, I eat really well, meaning within my calories and small portions, etc...I walk a lot. I did about 20,000 steps the other day, ate well within my calories, woke up the next morning and was 3 lbs heavier. Any explanation?
Some of you have seen my other posts and normally I have a really good handle on things. Now I am frustrated and need advice.
Thanks.

I know others will say this but everything you are doing is heading you in the right direction. It just takes time. Our bodies store water in different ways throughout the month and can lead to massive variations in readings on the scales. I weigh every day and yep it's really frustrating that after a light eating day with a little light exercise I can find I have gained weight. But this is nothing to do with how much i consumed. It is water. A few days later and it settles and i find I have gone down. Log your weight every day for a month and you will see peaks and troughs, but a general downward trend if you are staying in calorie deficit overall. Keep it up!0

It's helpful not to think of these variations as 'weight' per sec in the sense of bone, muscle and fat... These are variations of water & transit. And we all vary this much each and every day. Your hard work will show up, but not necessarily in 24 hours. That has more to do with sodium you recently consumed or when you last eliminated. Really.0

Quit walking so much, and instead, pump iron!0
