A Fresh Start

In 2006 I weighed 335 pounds and my doctor sent me to Weight Watchers. By 2010 I had lost 170 pounds. I was feeling skinny and healthy until I developed a severe neurological illness. My neurologist had me do several rounds of steroids and due to the increased pain I was unable to exercise, I had to use a cane to get around and I was taking morphine for the pain. It didn't take long for the weight to creep back on. illness and weight gain spiraled me into a depression. Slowly my health got better and I was able to crawl out of that black hole. I've lost 83 pounds and down five dress sizes and best of all I'm able to exercise again. My cane sits in the corner as a reminder of how far I've come. God has given me a fresh start and I'm incredibly grateful.
