How would you count this?

So this coming Saturday, me and the husband are doing a 20 mile bike ride in northern Indiana. It just so happens (wink wink), that our ride will be ending pretty darn close to a restaurant with Amish food. Soooo, probably going to eat there.
However, I am going to assume that this meal will be full of carbs, butter and possibly some bakery goods for dessert. So, as far as counting, I will get a good calorie allowance from the ride plus my typical 1725 calories for that day. Should I attempt to log my meal based on generic items in the database or just quick add my days worth plus my exercise calories? No doubt I will be coming right up to the calorie goal for the day, if not going over.
Of course, I could get a salad or whatnot, but after a long bike ride I know I am going to want some of the meat and potatoes type food. So, I am just trying to be realistic.

If you eat it, you log it. What was the question? Logging your meal or just assuming that it equaled what you might be allowed for the day? Log it, if you're under, you're under, if you're over, you're over.0

I would log it. I don't see any reason not to log it. We got to an Amish restaurant once a year and a Mennonite restaurant regularly. A lot of the foods they serve are similar to what we have at home. I usually use the mashed potato entry I made for home and then just find something reasonably similar to the rest in the database. For pie, I think it's Troyer's brand that has several entries in the MFP database.0

I'd find the closest thing in the database and log it the best I could.0

Thanks! I will go in the database and find the higher calorie/higher fat options and use those. I just know that a lot of things are going to have hidden lard, butter and fats that are going to be hard to accurately log. I used to work for a German Baptist butcher shop/bakery in high school and was SHOCKED at the amount of fat they put in stuff and I am not even fat phobic. I mean, it was insane. I guess that is why it tastes so good!0

You are making me hungry, by the way. The restaurant we go to has peanut butter/marshmallow spread on the table to put on the rolls. So good. Yum.0
