Hello, My name is Karen and I am committed to eating better and being more fit. I had a stroke 6 months ago and am very lucky to now be fully recovered. I was just told that I am pre diabetic so I decided that I will do everything in my power to ensure that I reverse this condition. I have only a few pounds to loose but have to change what I eat. Although I eat fairly healthy I have to eat less carbs and sugar and more protein.

Given how lucky I was to survive my stroke I know that I can change my food habits to but I would love some support and feedback along the way. I don't know if anyone else here is pre diabetic but if so can we support each other?

    Hi, Karen, and welcome to the boards! You have overcome some serious obstacles and I admire you for that. I used to be pre-diabetic but lost some weight and I guess I am out of the danger zone, at least for now. Gotta be vigilant, though! I'll send you a friend request.
