You can't judge oatmeal based on instant. If you don't like mush, you might be turned off. Try it a few different ways.

    I agree.

There's also a pretty big difference in texture between:
    Old-fashioned Rolled Oats

    5 grain rolled oats
    ROLLED%20OATS%20(1).jpg

    steel cut oats (irish oats)

    Quick Oats

If you dont like one, you might like another. :)

Not being a fan of "mush", I will likely not be impressed by the instant oatmeal, but I will definitely try some "real" ones as well. Thanks for the pics rainbowbow, that's helpful.

    So many choices.

Some days cottage cheese and avocado
Some days a hearty steel cut oats (with nuts etc.)
    Some days eggs and avocado
Some days a low carb/high fat green smoothie
Some days a low carb tortilla slathered in peanut butter and cream cheese
    Some days left overs
Some days a big sausage rolled in a low carb tortilla with salsa
    Some days bacon and eggs

If I'm really organized I'll make a weeks worth of muffin tin "omelets" of some variety

I just bought lox and plan to have rolled up (low carb tortilla) lox and cream cheese for the next few days.

ETA: the low carb tortillas are not heavily refined or processed.

I make a huge roasted vegetable and egg casserole and eat it throughout the week.

    This sounds delicious!
