projected loss versus actual loss?

my projected loss at the end of the day has never met up with my actual losses. i am diligent about logging every single thing that i eat and i measure almost everything. i don't eat back exercise calories, so it's not that i'm overestimating burn and then overeating. i am still nursing, so i suppose it could be hormones or something from that, but is there another reason i'm missing?

So you're saying the scale is still going down, right? As long as that's true you are fine.

Everytime I log my calories for the day, MFP tells me some ridiculous # that I will be in 5 weeks. Its always nice to chuckle and think of "what if", but I stopped paying any real attention to that projected number a long time ago because its always just so off.

My losses are always slower than what it tells me, but as long as I am losing I'm happy. I'm doing something right.

There's no daily weight loss projection.

Is MFP telling you to eat more than 1200? Just checking, because smaller people who are close to their goal may enter an amount to lose that would calculate to less than 1200 but MFP will never suggest that low so it just says 1200. When it does that, it does not warn you that it is adjusting your rate.

Thanks for sharing your experience with that feature. I suppose I thought it was accurate for others, so it's good to know that maybe it's not. And I am going down, slooowly, but down. MFP has me at 1300 and I add in 300 more for nursing.
