Lifting while trying to lose weight

I want to start incorporating lifting into my workouts instead of just cardio but I'm also trying to lose 2lbs/week to avoid muscle loss, start on toning, and try to avoid loose skin since once at my goal weight I will have lost 120 pounds. Any suggestions on what I should do to start off?

Do you have access to a gym?
If so, full body workouts, compound exercises, 3x a week.
Find a "tried and true" routine you like.

FYI: Toning is a made up buzz word.
Looks like you are relatively young so any loose skin may "bounce back", give it time. It may take twice as long as it takes to lose weight if you lose fast.
Make sure you are getting plenty of protein, that'll help preserve muscle while losing.0 -

I have lost 42 lbs on the scale and started weights day 1. Feel great look great I am great. I tell myself that anyways. Deadlifts will get the fat off as well as maintain or even gain muscle. Imo. Bench well do that to. But rows and presses and deads that's where it's at. Squats too. If u can.0

The Stronglifts app is free and good. There are paid "expansions" but I would fully expect stonglifts to last you several months if not longer with newbie gains.0

I started that program in Feb, close to the beginning of my effort to lose weight (Jan). Inches melted off at first! I still follow it 2x/week along with yoga 2x/week. I don't do any accessories, so far. Strength gains are still happening as I got all of my reps on Bench at 100 lbs on Tuesday. I'm still tickled about it!
