It so hard to do figure out what amount of calories I need a day. What calculator do you use to find your total calorie intake for a day

Just enter your details into my fitness pal, just go to google and search for my fitness pal and go to the first link, sign up and fill in your details.

But seriously what are you specifically having trouble with?

Understanding mfp, calculating your total daily energy expenditure?

All of the various calculators can give you an estimate, but it's just a starting point. They'll vary because they use slightly different formulae. The important thing is to pick one, stick with it for a few weeks, and adjust based on your real world results.

I use mfp. I entered how much I wanted to lose per week, made sure that wasn't too aggressive, and ate the calorie allotment it gave me.
I lost all my weight and have kept it off for 2 yrs. So it works :)

You could always start with what MFP figures out for you and then adjust from there if needed based on a few weeks of using that calorie goal.

There are LOADS of calculators out there that'll give you an estimate.

MFP will give you a figure to aim for but know that you'll need to add a percentage of exercise calories ontop of that figure if you do any. For me, this didn't work out - so I use a different method (TDEE method) which already accounts for exercise: http://scoobysworkshop.com/calorie-calculator/

Generally pick a number, stick with it, record your results and tweak if necessary :)
