Hi! I'm 5'6 and 145 pounds. I want to get to 130-135. I have been eating clean and working out. I was eating under 1,200 Calories and then working it all off by working out.
I'm now trying a new approach so I can get some progress, but I wanted some advice.
Here's my intake:
Breakfast
3 eggs
1 Piece of Dave's Killer Bread good-seed
broccoli- 4oz (if i want it in the morning or another vegetable)

Snack 1
3/4 cup cottage cheese
10 almonds
5 blackberries

Lunch
4oz chicken breast
1/2 cup rice
4oz broccoli

snack 2
2oz chicken breast
3oz broccoli
1/4 cup rice
.25 of a cucumber

dinner
4oz of a lean meat like chicken
with vegetables and normally a carb
ex: 4oz chicken
1 cup of Brussels sprouts
1/2 cup of rice

snack 3
2oz chicken breast
3oz broccoli
1/4 cup rice
.25 of a cucumber

And I eat jasmine rice
and cook with avocado oil around 1-2 tablespoons a day.
macros for that meal was
carbs: 151
Fat:79 (used way too much oil) aiming for like 50
protein:127
sugar:27

I don't really know what my macros should be.. I tried using a calculator but I'm still unsure

Then for a workout I do HIIT and strength training videos from fitness blender. I usually burn about 800 calories a workout and do that 6 days a week. I switch up the videos and will put some together

I would really love some advice! Thank you so much!

You eat under 1200 calories and then you try to exercise enough to burn 1200 calories???

Eat the foods you love and stay at your calorie limit.

Eat back all or most of your exercise calories.

Weigh and log everything you eat.

    Win.

Carbs are way too high. I can tell you that much. I am 5'4" 134 still cutting and I eat 90g carb a day. I am on a bodybuilders diet as I'm training to compete, but yeah. I think you eat more carbs than me on even my re-feed days. I can't tell you what your macros should be as they are very specific to each person, body type, goals, etc. but feel free to follow to see what my days look like.

Given that you have an account on MyFitnessPal, have you tried using their settings?

Oh codswallop. Her carbs are fine.

OP your tdee I s likely around 2200. You're eating 18xx. That's a good amount. I'd probably up it a bit but it's your preference.

Her carbs are too high for what, exactly? You say that macros are specific to each person, so how can they be too high for her?

OP, with that little to lose, set your goal to ~.5lbs/week and then eat that every day. Keep in mind that MFP tends to overestimate calories burned for activity, so maybe start by eating back 50% of your exercise calories and see how it goes. Also, I checked out your diary and it looks like you're measuring a lot of your portions. For greater accuracy, I would suggest investing in a food scale (I got mine for $20 on Amazon) and weighing your portions.

    Good luck!
