    i know in san diego idk if its all over California they won't give snap to college students.

    Usually if your parent's claim you on their taxes(when you are a student under age 24) you can't get SNAP. If you aren't claimed on their taxes and are under 24 and unmarried you cannot claim the refundable American Opportunity credit, on your own tax return, which can be up to 2500.
