A couple months ago I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes with my blood sugar test results at 12.8, today I'm at 4.8 and no longer need medication, of course I'm happy but I'm under no illusion that I can eat what I want because it was my horrendous diet that put me like that, I'm still on blood pressure medication but my last readings was 121/88 so there's hope for me stopping those too if I continue to lose the weight. I'm more angry that I made myself like that, but its made me more determined never to let myself get like that again xx

You can do it. Keep eating healthy because clearly, you've just proven that it is so worth it.

Great! I recently went to the doctors as well and I lost 74 pounds since my last visit four years ago

Good job! I bet your doctor was impressed. I suspect these success stories are rare in their experience.

To negotiate off my blood pressure meds (I was starting to experience dizziness from low blood pressure), I took regular readings for several months and showed them to my doctor, and then promised to keep taking readings when I went off the meds. I've stayed in low-normal range.

Good for you - you were given a warning and you did something about it - many people don't. Just as you've said, try to use that anger to make sure you don't start back on the bad habits again. You can do this : )

That's an amazing turnaround. I had a similar experience getting my A1C down from 7.2 to 5.5. And I know exactly what you mean about being angry at yourself for letting yourself get that way. But you can't go back. All you can do is make sure you don't go down that road again.

Wow! How did you get your a1c down so drastically in a matter of a couple months? I've never heard of that!
