At least 10,000 steps a day at min

I keep track of my steps with my Fitbit. I generally get between 10 to 12k a day. This is my first year on the coast so I don't know what to expect as far as rain but I've heard a lot. I want to lose about 50 lbs, I'm going to need motivation and support my personality is an instant gratification kind of person. If I don't see results I lose motivation.
