Older male that likes to work out hard considering Piyo. What is your take on it?

I'm 53 and have done P90x and Insanity Asylum. Saw this informercial on Piyo. The moves peaked my interest. There seemed to be some complexity to them but yet were easy on the joints. I like to workout pretty hard so I'm wondering if this fits that bill too.

PiYo is nothing like insanity or p90x so if that's the kind of intense workout you're looking for - this isn't the program for you. It's a mix between yoga and pilates; I'm not sure if you have any experience with either of those? If you're looking for something to improve your flexibility and enjoy the flow of moving your body from pose to pose, PiYo is great. It's more fast paced than most yoga classes but it's definitely not a cardio workout like you're used to. It's all low-no impact moves. I did it when I was trying to come back from a shoulder injury and I enjoyed it but it's important to know what it's not :-) best of luck!0

Thanks for the input. I am used to some yoga, like Core Power Yoga sculpt, but that's it. I like the flexibility to which you speak so I may go ahead with purchasing it, knowing what its limitations might be.0 -
I'm glad I could help let me know if you try it what you think of it! Oh and just as an FYI, the first two DVDs on the program are slower/more instructive (one is mainly lower body and the other mainly upper) so if you decide to try it make sure you do more than those two haha.0
