i ate my calorie limit, but in mostly candy since yesterday was halloween. will this negatively effect me?

As long as that's not a recurring pattern you'll be fine.
A calorie is a calorie (mostly) from a purely weight loss point of view, but nutrition is important, too. If you ate that way daily, you'd eventually suffer from malnutrition from various deficiencies. But for a day, sure, it's not a problem although you might get a stomach ache or something.0 -

As to weight loss, a calorie is a calorie.
Nutritionally wise, what you ate is not good. Candy is wonderful, just moderate it so you get your nutritional needs met.
