Working out and working long hours?

Need some help trying to figure out a workout. I've been trying to bike a bit early in the am or at night when I'm home but my legs are usually so exhausted (and sometimes in pain) I think I may be doing more harm than good. I'm a substitute teacher by day, retail worker by night and starting in a couple weeks, ski instructor on the weekends. 14 hour days with the majority of that time on my feet is quite normal.

I was wondering if I should forgo the workout, focusing solely on weight loss through diet or if I should focus on a workout that works my core and upper body more. Leaning towards the latter.

Opinions and suggestions welcome and thanks for any help :)

Weight loss happens in the kitchen and exercise is for health and well being.

I work construction 14 hours a day without a break. By the time I get home, I either workout then cook dinner or dinner then workout. I usually fit in 40 minutes of HIIT, martial arts, or something using simple body weight exercises.

If your feet hurt after work, stick to working out in the a.m. Or try yoga. That relieves stress, strengthen muscles, feels great, and gets your mind clear for the start of your day.

I work very long days too. Full time job outside the home and a business my husband and I both run. I agree that weight loss begins in the kitchen. As far as working out goes... I get up early and get in 30-45 minutes before work. On days I have more time, I'll do an hour. Just do workouts you enjoy. I mix up circuit weight/cardio workouts, running, weights. Whatever I feel I need that day.
