Starting new phase

I have almost reached my goal weight during the loss phase.
I am down pretty low now. Like high school weight.
So the next phase is gaining more muscle and not gaining fat. I plan to eat around maintenance levels (which will be higher than I have been for the last five months).
Any tips on not gaining fat during muscle building phase are much appreciated. Or your experience with if it worked for you and how.
