NEED OPINIONS ON FITNESS WATCHES

Hi! I am looking into investing in a watch or something that will count my calories burned as accurately as possible as well as a GPS for running. I have looked into the Garmin Forerunner 110 and like the features. Before purchasing I would like to hear what you recommend or have experience with. I don't know anyone personally who has had the forerunner 110 or anything else for that matter. If there is anything out there comparable to the 110 (features) or better in price range that works good enough to provide me with what I am looking for, I would love to know. Thanks!

Love, love, love my Garmin. I enjoy multisport so I have the 310xt. Definitely a great tool and I'm a gadget freak, so it fills that "need" for me too. I love being able to track my runs during and after the fact.

I am not a big Garmin fan but that is just merely a personal opinion and nothing to do with their product. I just like the UE better with Polar. Polar has several models with GPS but they require (or at least the old models required) a separate GPS piece. Seems overkill in this day and age. Find one that has it all built into the watch if you can. I am a big supporter of HRM's and have been using them forever and they really will help you get to your goals. If you have any specific questions please feel free to PM me as I have a lot of experience and have tried every fitness watch on the market. Good luck!

I am a huge Garmin fan. I've had the 301 (lost to puppy teeth) and the 305 (lost/stolen). I now have the 405. Customer service is great.
    I haven't tried the 110.

Keep in mind that Garmins are GPS first with heart rate features. Not every model bases calories burned on HR even if they have a HRM.

Jus double checked - The 110 with HRM does use heart rate based computation.

I love my Garmin 305 but that model has been discontinued; if I were to buy a replacement I would go with the 310. There is a website/blog that has excellent reviews and comparisons of most if not all GPS watches.

UE? I may be totally blonde but I can't figure this out. I've tried googling too.

Had polar, had farming, now love Nike! Best ever and accurate compared to farming. Polar was also ok till I drowned it diving deeper than specified.

My best guess is "User Experience"
