High fat/ Low Carb

This seems to work for so many people.
Considering it.
But.... what about Fiber?
Two diaries I have seen get very little fiber - almost none.
Is it something about not eating flour that does not require fiber intake?
How does all that work?
I'm thinking that there is no need for fiber, since you just let the fat do the work.

    Vegetables. There is a load of veggies that are low carb. They incorporate that with their high fat.

    I am one who eats very low fibre but the oils and fats see, to keep me moving, almost too much so to be honest.

    Before I went LCHF I was fairly normal to a bit um, slow. I had a bit more fibre in my diet than I do now, but that mostly came from grains. My veggie intake was just a bit more than it is now. I was never a big fruit eater so I went from 2-3 fruits per week to 1 or zero.

    Now That I don't eat grains or starchy veggies, and replaced them with healthy fats and oils, things are very regular and almost too fast. I don't know what fats do, but it works better than fibre for me.

    Just to compare, it could be improved health too. When I was a celiac, constipation was a big deal. I'd "go" only a few times per week. I thought that was normal because it was all I'd ever known. I used a few different fibre supplements and they did nothing for me, but I was afraid to stop using them. LOL

    After going gf, my BMs slowly improved to an almost normal.

    Then I went LCHF for health reasons and it improved again. Could it be the fats? Perhaps I'm just healthier? Who knows?

    You really don't need that much fiber in your diet and especially insoluble fiber. The increase in fat will help bodily functions along well enough.

    And as one of the posters above mentioned - veggies have fibre, in particular green leafy veg (one of your best sources IMO)

    Not really. 2 cups of kale will have 3 grams of fiber, but the same amount of spinach or arugula will have only one. You can get there with vegetables, but need to be choosy and eat way more than most low carbers seem to.
