Before and after your workout would be ideal to replace muscle glycogen lost during workout. However, there is research that suggests nutrient timing has no effect on body composition0

For the most part, any variation in body composition as a result of meal timing is going to be miniscule. Unless you are a high-caliber athelete, the difference is not going to make an appreciable difference. Eat whenever makes the most sense for you.0
