Chicken Francese (Francais)

Hi - I ate two very small pieces of chicken francese from a deli today, and did not put extra sauce on top. I would estimate it was about 4 ounces of chicken. How many calories would you guess I ate? I found different variations when I search, but am netting out at about 300 calories. That seems extremely high for 2 really small cutlets. Any thoughts? TIA... Sheri

do you know if the chicken was fried or cooked in the sauce? I've seen places do it both ways and that could make a big difference in the calories.
Another thing I've found with chicken that is rolled in flour, is that some of the recipes on here include a full cup of flour, but I've never used that much when breading my chicken. I just ran my standard recipe and it came out to about 300 calories, and 1 4oz breast. BUT the whole recipe calls for a cup of flour and I never come close to using that!0 -
No, I don't know how it was made, but I'll pretend it was not fried... lol.
Thanks for your information. I guess the 300 calories is on track. Yikes, should have checked that one before I ate it.0 -
