" I can't even eat. The food keeps touching. I like military plates, I'm a military man, I want a military meal. I want my string beans to be quarantined! I like a little fortress around my mashed potatoes so the meatloaf doesn't invade my mashed potatoes and cause mixing in my plate! I HATE IT when food touches! I'm a military man, you understand that? And don't let your food touch either, please? "

I think in the US it's not totally normal to be eating beans and eggs for breakfast. It is offered at some restaurants, but it's definitely not a popular breakfast meal in the US. I've never had beans with my eggs, but I wouldn't mind if they touched.

The only time I've ever had eggs and beans together is in huevos rancheros. Tasty...but it would't occur to me to open a can of Heinz beans to go alongside my eggs and toast at home.

Ew yeah I agree I'm the third type of person - who would never consider beans and eggs as a combination

because they put the Rancheros in Huevos Rancheros...

Frijoles are a pretty common breakfast item in general here in New Mexico.

Today I found out why beans give you gas. Beans contain a sugar molecule called 'Oligosaccharides'. These types of sugars cannot be digested by the stomach or small intestine. They get passed on to the large intestine where numerous types of bacteria begin to break them down.

See that dam sugar is everywhere B)
