Since when is moderation about having little regard to diet quality and finding it acceptable that fruit and vegetables get crowded out by fizzy pop and sweets? No one would advocate such nonsense.
That said I will be interested to read to actual study and come to my own conclusions rather than the spin in the Daily Fail...0 -

Also, I don't know if the Fail are being willfully ignorant but the idea of a "varied" or "balanced" diet was never about indiscriminate choice but rather opting to get nutrition from multiple sources.
These sources were predominantly less processed food etc such as fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, whole grains, legumes, fish, moderate amounts of meat and so on. However, it did allow some wiggle room / discretion for treats.0 -
