Either because weight loss isn't linear or because you aren't logging accurately

Are you eye-balling portions, measuring them or weighing them? You may be eating more than you think.

Are you eating back exercise calories? Calorie burns are "generous." Many people start by eating back 50% and increase that IF their weight loss is too fast.

Have you started an exercise regimen? Is it your time of month? Have you eaten higher sodium in recent days? 2 pounds could very well be a normal fluctuation due to water weight.

2 weeks is not enough time.........

Are you using a food scale?

As everyone else said, get a scale. It will open your eyes to all the calories you were missing. However, I will mention that I never lost weight on a 1200cal diet and was always starving. I upped my calories and started losing. Good luck to you! :)

Opening your diary and giving us your stats will really help us answer this.

    A few things:
    1. You aren't really eating 1200 calories, get a food scale
    2. You started exercising and your muscles might be retaining water, be patient
    3. You changed your diet significantly (salts, fats, sugars) and are retaining water, be patient

Be patient, you didn't gain weight overnight and you aren't going to lose it overnight either.
