Diet food

I am constantly hearing that's not diet food. Can anyone tell me what diet food is and where I can find it? Because the last thing I knew I was on a lifestyle change. Not a diet people quit those things all the time.

At the Diet Store In all seriousness, I had this conversation the other day. I kept saying, "I'm just changing the way I eat", and they kept saying, "yeah, dieting." Oy. I also tell people I'm eating the way I should have a long time ago0

Just call it portion control. Anything can be diet food. Just. Eat. Less.0

Yeah, that and "fattening" food0

I always say I can have what I want its about how much I eat and counting my calories for it. I just get supper annoyed, because anytime I post something yummy I have a close friend tell me this over and over again.0

Tell them to talk to you in 6 months when you are starting to show results Someone will always try and derail you, intentionally or unintentionally. People make those comments sometimes not thinking what harm it can do, putting us back into old habits and ways of thinking. Its part of why people start and fail. Finding ways to get past it is what makes us succeed I, personally, and keeping my journey and methods off social media. I still post pictures and recipes the food I cook (rarely, when I do), and all people say is "that looks good!"0

I mostly eat a well-balanced diet and that is a part of my life style. Everyone is technically on a diet as it means that you eat. Whether you call it a "life style change" or "diet" is irrelevant as long as it furthers you to your goals.0

there is no such thing0

Whatever you're eating is diet food0

I have a starbucks drink every now and than I am allowed and I take my calories for it. Also the occasional sugar loaded cereal sometimes I just like a bowl of fruity pebbles. Again you can eat what you want its portion control and calorie counts and how hard you work out.0 -

Why isn't it diet food, in reasonable dosage and within the context of a balanced diet? If my daily calorie allowance is 2400, I eat 2250 calories of vegetables, lean meats and whole grains, meeting my macros, then decide to fill those final 150 calories with a bowl of sugar-loaded cereal, why is that not appropriate food?
Affixing arbitrary labels to foods or food groups without considering context and dosage is silly.0 -

Are you actually trolling her diary to pick on her food choices? When her whole point was that she can eat properly portioned food within her calories?
I don't mind people trolling my diary maybe it will help them learn I don't have to take all of the goodness from my life to be successful at a lifestyle change.0 -

It depends on what kind of diet you want! You can lose weight on any kind of diet.
Personally, I don't think of what I eat as "weight loss food", but just as my diet. It's what I eat.0 -
I use the seefood diet. I see food, I eat it. Just not all of it, and not all in one sitting.0

I would probably tell the person that since you are eating the food as part of your diet, then everything is "diet food". Then wish her well with her boring rice cakes and abhorrent arctic zero ice cream...0 -
