How do you guys log the marinade on chicken? Obviously you don't eat it all as a bunch of it is usually still in the bag when you pull the chicken out. Do you estimate? Guess? Not log it? Log it all anyway?

My suggestion would be to weigh it initially and then weigh what's left after the chickens out and subtract it.

I log it all. I also dump anything left when the chicken comes out into whatever cookware I'm using to prepare the chicken.

I don't use that much, though. I mix the marinade up, rub it onto/into the chicken and then add a little to the baggie. I don't use tons of it that won't really be in contact with the chicken.

If you wanted to, you could weigh the baggie (or Tupperware or whathaveyou) before you add the chicken, jot it down, and then weigh again after you took the meat out. The difference would tell you how much you used. :)

Weigh the marinade before and after and divide the difference across all the chicken. See if the calories are enough to mess with next time.
