Looking for ideas for smoothies that don't include fruit ( blood sugar issue) I want to use spinach or kale with some protein powder. Every recipe I google has either banana or yogurt in it.

I used to make mine with Romaine lettuce (milder than kale) and coconut water (has a little sugar) and cucumbers, and some lemon juice.
Here is a Spinach and Avocado smoothie:
Ingredients:
1 ¼ Cups of Unsweetened Almond Milk
2 Cups of Spinach
½ of an Avocado
2 Ice Cubes
Directions:
Put all ingredients into a blender
Blend until smooth

Here is a spicy smoothie:
Spicy Green Salad
½ cup filtered water
5–6 ice cubes
1 medium tomato, Roma or Heirloom
1 handful fresh parsley
1 handful fresh baby kale
½ habanero pepper without seeds
½ Italian cucumber
1 cup of fresh white cabbage
1 lemon juice squeezed into blender
Optional additions:
Dash of cayenne pepper
1–2 tbsp sunflower seeds0 -

maybe you could just make a protein shake, and have a mini salad on the sideI used to make mine with Romaine lettuce (milder than kale) and coconut water (has a little sugar) and cucumbers, and some lemon juice.
