Any one else feeling extremely restricted every time they go to eat anything? I feel like I should be adult enough to eat what I want but then I think, it's because I ate what I want that I got this way...Needing someone to help me get over these humps.

Your only restrictions should be portion size. I look in the fridge and see endless possibility, only limited by my calories. I'm oddly excited by the prospect of each new day because I love making my treats fit

I've actually expanded my food scope. When you put your mind on exploring healthier options the universe of food selections starts to expand. Try new and exciting foods. Pick up a new vegetable at the farm market and figure out what to make with it.

You don't have to change your entire diet. That's a recipe for failure right there. Instead, take a look at foods you like and work them into your daily calories. A single portion of something you like that ends up putting you 50 calories over from time to time is better than not having the foods you like and then pigging out on them when you finally cave.

Proper (positive) mind set is the first step in order to successfully change your lifestyle. As mentioned, look at all the food you CAN have, which is everything as long as it is in moderation. If you feel like you are restricted or missing out then that can lead to just giving up.

Try new things and experiment. Over time your tastes will change.
