Question With Calories Remaining

so i went down about 34 lbs and still going down but i get a little confused with the calories remaining portion. so i input my info and it tells me my goal is 2920 calories. now from my heart rate monitor everything i did from the gym to walking to the gym and exercise and cardio i burned 2244 calories.. now my calories remaining is 5,164. my question is now since i burned so much calories do i have to take in 5,164 calories? to compensate for what i burned?

any help is appreciated thanks guys!

You should not count everything you do as exercise. If you use the MFP goal settings and set to sedentary, you should enter only dedicated exercise and you can eat those calories back. The MFP setting takes into account the calories you burn walking around the office, sitting on the couch, etc. If you have a more active job, you might want to set it to lightly active. If your HRM is counting every calorie burned and you enter them all as exercise, you're "double dipping", and you'll be eating at a surplus and you'll gain. I hope that makes sense.

If you put your HRM on when you were going to the gym and took it off when you were done at the gym than I would be eating about 3/4 of what it says as calories burned. You don't want your deficit too high. Hopefully you have a decent HRM so your calorie burned amounts are correct.

Your remaining calories should be as close to 0 as possible.

Polar is a good one if it has a chest strap. Just ensure you are not wearing it all day and only have it on when you are working out. Normal HRM are not accurate for all day wear... only when you have an elevated HR.

From the sounds of things, yes you should be eating 5000+ cals to make up for the exercise.
