I use a little Worcestershire sauce and Soy sauce with a small bit of parsley. Delicious!

We just use salt, pepper, a little garlic powder and a little basil. Season it and set it out to get to room temperature, then grill it. HSpoon uses a two stage fire, where he puts all the coals on one side of the grill, cooks the steaks to temperature on the cool side, and then does a quick sear on the hot side. Comes out awesome every time.

Dammit, now I want steak for dinner!

I drizzle just enough olive oil to give it a thin coat, then sprinkle on Lawry's Seasoned Salt.

I get my steaks and marinate them in salt, pepper, fresh crushed garlic, dried onion, a little olive oil, worsheshire sauce and sometimes some hot sauce (but just a little and the vinegar based not tomato based). I let it sit in the freezer until I use them. Let them defrost slowly and make sure they are at room temperature when you put them on the grill. Super yummy and they get a nice crust on them with all the spices.

We love this so much that I make it in bulk and keep it in the freezer so that it's ready whenever we buy steaks.

    I...don't?

Is this a cultural thing or am I just a heathen? Give me a good cut of Aussie beef and I'll just whack it on the grill or in the frypan, cook, and eat.

A little bit of Kosher salt. A good steak needs no seasoning.

Salt, pepper, sometimes garlic powder. If I'm feeling really adventurous, I like mixing minced garlic with brown sugar and rubbing it on the steak.

I just use salt and pepper with garlic herb butter. I will usually make a peppercorn sauce so the steak can be simple.

That's because Aussie steak is the best in the world :)

Lamb steak, I marinade in lemon juice and garlic for about half an hour before cooking. Mmmmm yummmm

Beef though, nah it's flavour is enough. I don't need to add anything to it

Marinate for at least 6 hours in 1/2 c ketchup, 1/4c soysauce, add 1 tsp garlic powder, 1/2-1 tsp ginger, salt and pepper to taste, and 1/2 c brown sugar (or a TBS molasses and a dropper full of stevia).

My go-to meat treatment is to sprinkle liberally with kosher salt, put it on a rack in a sheet pan, then let it hang out in the fridge for about 24 hours uncovered. The salt pulls the juices out, then it's reabsorbed to season throughout. The air drying ensures a crisp or crusty exterior after cooking. Once done, grind some black pepper over the steak and put a pat of butter to melt over it. I loooooove blue cheese butter.
