Whoosh!

This is what a Whoosh! looks like. Nearly a month of almost no change, then down 4 pounds in less than a week. Didn't really change anything, this is just the way my body works and I've come to expect it. Not that I "like" it, but it is what it is and the trend is going the right direction. (This is from the iPhone app Happy Scales.)

I am happy to see your post. I am waiting for my whoosh! I have a ton of weight to lose, I'm eating at a large deficit (doctor and RD supervised), weighing everything to the gram (yes, I have watched the video), exercising...and I have not lost an ounce in 2 weeks. I should be losing about 2.5 pounds a week. I know--weight loss is not linear. I know--be patient, maintain the course, keep going...
I'm blaming it on the fact that I started super-beginner strength training. If there is one thing that I have read consistently, it is that many say who have lost a lot of weight say they wish they started lifting sooner. So I have started with puny, girly, not-pink-but-close weights, enough to make my out of shape self pretty sore. Hoping for a tsunami-like whoosh in my future...0 -

Here's my month, which is an example of how weight loss is not linear, and how apps like Happy Scale help you see the downward trend:

I hate the weeks when I don't lose anything, but love it when I know I'm about to whoosh...and then I do!
