You can do it every day if you like. Some people weigh multiple times a day.
That's not necessary, you just need to update it occasionally so you can properly calculate your TDEE.

Whatever works best for you and your mental state. I do it most mornings because I like to see the daily fluctuations. Some obsess about it and probably should avoid the scale and use measuring tapes at regular time intervals. Good luck finding what method works best for you!

what's more important is that you do it at roughly the same time of day and under roughly the same conditions. most people will step on the scale in the morning after they've taken care of business and naked. if you're weighing yourself after you've eaten or with waste in your system or with clothes on...well, all of that stuff has mass and thus weight which would show up on the scale...waste and food in your system and clothing obviously have nothing to do with losing fat.

if you weigh in daily you need to read up on natural weight fluctuations and understand them...my weight easily fluctuates 3-5 Lbs day to day.

Each morning after a trip to the bathroom and before I eat or drink anything works best for me and I log it on the back of junk mail so I can see the net results of my way of eating.

Actually the best time is the time that works for you. :)

Welcome to MFP forums and the best of success.

I do it once a week on Sunday afternoon. I tried mornings but I kept forgetting. Afternoon works for me because Ives had time to 'empty' and had my breakfast which I like to think burns off while I'm at work then walking the dogs. So I weigh when I get back just before lunch.

I tried doing it every day and I became obsessed with it so I took a step back and found I do better just doing it once a week.

Every morning, immediately after using the bathroom. I understand water weight fluctuations and (finally) don't feel more than mild impatience when the scale goes up or stays constant. I always knew that intellectually but I think now I feel it emotionally as well - it's a long road and not every single step of the way comes with an obvious reward, but each step is always one step closer to our goals, even if we don't necessarily see that immediately.

I run the gambit from weighing myself 10 times a day for weeks on end, to never weighing myself. for logging purposes I always did mornings....i was always lightest then and needed the good news :)
Lately I put the scale away and use other metrics but when I was losing....definitely kept accurate records of my morning weigh ins.
