    Yes and yes.

I eat less snacks and treats than I did, but I still eat some. In fact I'll have a slice of cake for dessert tonight. I'll still make my calorie goal for the day.

Yes, I eat whatever I want and make sure I hit my macros. I lost what I wanted and have maintained for about a year.

Here's a quiz question. How many peanuts do you get for 100 calories? Lifesavers? How much watermelon?

Yep! If it fits in my macros and I want it, I have it. I've lost 110lbs and kept it off with moderation in my approach to food.

Once a year, I eat some junk food. Other than that, I really don't.

I do have treats, though, if "treats" can be sweet, yummy food that isn't junk food. I have treats every day! :)

Weight loss and maintaining a healthy weight is a life long journey. Billy goats eat junk! People sometimes want to eat sweets, salty snacks or other food that is considered less than healthy. And within moderation should do so without guilt or judgement. If your health will be affected, don't eat it. When using MFP, log the calories and nutrients honestly. My thinking is this, when treating yourself if it isn't delicious don't eat it. Giving up calories and nutrition for a lack luster food is foolish. Life is short, it must be enjoyable. I've seen it written many times, calorie deficit equals weight loss. Choose wisely and when reach out to MFP friends when you need support.

life is too short not to eat yummy food. Whether that is a divine perfectly cooked steak, wonderful fresh vegetables, or cupcakes, make it fit and enjoy it.

Junk tastes good - there's no denying.

Log it and make it fit and you're fine.

I do, probably more than I should, LOL. I try very hard to still hit my calorie goals though, I DO need to clean up my weekends a little more. But I'm still 73 lbs down and still going down so I must be doing something right. I do try and practice moderation, my week days are spot on! It's just one day of the week my diet is less than wonderful. Lol. But again, moderation.

Yes, I include sweets, treats, and foods traditionally seen as junk if it fits in my calorie goals and if I've eaten plenty of nutrient dense foods as well. Sometimes that means smaller portions of the food i want and sometimes I swap the treat for something else that helps me hit my goals a little better. And yes, I lost weight eating this way.

Yes and yes. Lost 30lbs and kept it off for going on 6 years eating this way.
Personally I'm not sure if I'd have managed this if I didn't have a Snickers bar, a pint of beer, or a slice of carrot cake fairly regularly.

I have a treat every day. I don't eat much in the way of "junk food" because that doesn't really fit my bigger picture goals, but I do have treats every day. I lost weight. And more importantly, I've maintained it for 14 years.

Balance is king. I eat some junk and some healthy. As long as it fits within my goals I'm happy with it. And yes I've lost weight just fine doing that. I think the key thing to remember is that when you only have a set amount of calories for the day, you don't want to go spending it all in one place. I get hangry if I have 3 cinnamon rolls for breakfast (450 cal yikes!) and have to spend the rest of the day busting butt to burn or be careful what else I eat. That being said, you can always pre plan for your junk foods by scheduling in an additional work out or a healthy dinner. I like to think pre-planning solves most anything:)

I have 1 piece dark 74% chocolate once every 2 days - I used to have a whole bar of milk chocolate eaten in 5 minutes. I have one small piece of homemade gluten free cake, low or no sugar once a week when I eat with the family. Rest of the week I cook for myself to ensure I know exactly what I'm eating and I have not eaten out in 6 months. Down 25 pounds in 6 months - now losing 2lbs per week.
