Im currently trying to cut BF atm. 5ft 10 guy weighing around 12stone ( 76kg ) i am eating at a 500 a day deficit to lose 1lb a week.

Im also lifting and doing cardio at the same time and making sure my protein intake is high. Im drinking 3 shakes of whey protein a day when training and 2 on rest day however i dont and have never used creatine.

Is it worth buying some?

Yes. Creatine is one of the very few supplements that has proven to be of benefit, and without side effects. Fairly inexpensive too.

I have used creatine extensively in the past. I'm not lifting right now (recovering from surgery), so I'm presently off it.

Whether or not it is worth buying depends on why you're considering it. You haven't specified what you're hoping it will do for you. If you're lifting heavy, it could potentially help with your recovery.

But, as you're eating at a deficit and losing weight, the increased water weight that accompanies creatine usage might mess with your head. How important are the numbers on the scale to you?

Are you sure your shakes don't have creatine in them?

They both can help aid in muscle growth but in different ways. Most guys that are trying to lean out will use whey protein and creatine on the days they workout! Use one has a "pre-workout" and the other either during a workout if it's long or after your workout. Also depends on what your current whey protein ingredients are and his much you are planning on training
