scared to go to maintenance calories

So I got down to only needing to loose 4 more pounds and instead of loosing I am maintaining my weight within 2 pounds on the deficit calorie count of 1000. So what is going to happen when I finally do loose the last 4 pounds and go to maintenance calorie count of 1500. Won't that cause me to gain weight again since I seem to be maintaining at 1000. I've been maintaining for 3 weeks now at deficit.

Are you weighing your food? Because it is highly unlikely you are maintaining at 1000. You should be eating 1200 at the lowest. So you're eating more than you think.0

Why are you only eating 1000 cals? Do you weigh and measure everything you eat?0

No, your body probably thinks you're in a starvation mode, so it is protecting you by not allowing additional weight loss. 1,000 is low. As vesiquenn said, at the minimum 1,200. I would add at least 200 calories now until you lose the last four and then, based on your activity level and age, I would raise it properly to maintain.0
