Not sure where to start

I am 5'8 and around 175 pounds. My goal weight is 150/155. I would also like to gain some mussel. I don't know if i need to do mostly cardio until i reach my goal weight then worry about strength training or do a combination of both ?

    Start strength training now. Don't wait until you've lost the weight. Keep doing cardio for your heart and overall health, but also incorporate some strength training.
