Did my first ever 5k last week.

It was on a treadmill and it was interval training (2 mins run 1 min walk, repeatedly), both of which obviously make it a lot easier. So I'm a long way off being able to go out pounding the streets and run a continuous 5k but nonetheless I was really happy with it.

When I started my training 5 weeks ago I couldn't run any further than 500m.

Rested my legs since then. Tonight I'm going to try to beat my time.

Good for you! Congrats! I'm starting to slowly start adding some treadmill interval training to my workouts also. They aren't always the most easy thing, so great job on doing a 5k with yours! Keep it up!
